World Water Day 2024 takes a critical look at water consumption, focusing on the choice between bottled (well) water and tap water. The Netherlands annually consumes 400 million liters of water from plastic bottles, but Zereau Drinks | KRNWTR+ wants to change that. By connecting taps directly to the water supply and using the profits for initiatives, such as cleaning up plastic waste, the company is promoting tap water as a sustainable alternative.

Tap water, often overlooked, is subject to stricter controls than bottled water. Microplastics in bottled water and the CO2 impact of plastic bottles highlight sustainability issues. From our water tasting, tap water often proves even tastier.

On World Water Day, not only are the findings presented, but the tastiest and least tasty water in the Netherlands are also announced. Robert Denneman talked about it with Babs van de Voort, CEO of Zereau Drinks | KRNWTR+.
