The bamboo we use for our Zereau Drinks water taps offers sustainable advantages over other materials. This is because bamboo grows at a tremendous rate and requires very little water. Furthermore, our supplier of bamboo conducted an LCA and C02 footprint study together with Delft University of Technology and INBAR. The report showed that all solid bamboo products are C02 neutral over the entire life cycle. Perfect material for a sustainable water tap.
There are many aspects involved in packaged water such as transportation, refrigeration of the bottles, space the bottles take up and of course all the plastic needed to package this water. Unnecessary plastic, but also unnecessary costs you spend on this.
With our water tap you can tap delicious local, cooled and filtered water, without unnecessary packaging. The water filter preserves the main minerals of water such as magnesium and calcium. What the Zereau Drinks water filter does filter out is:
- Dirt, sediment, and rust in the water can cause additional wear on the equipment.
- Drug residues, antibiotics, chemicals, PFAS, GenX, lead and other metals.
- Microplastics: small particles from various sources, including cosmetics, clothing and industrial processes that end up in our water.
- Removal of unwanted odors and tastes.
- 99.999% filtration of all substances > 0.2 microns*
- Capacity: 14,952 Liters
- Chlorine compounds
- Dyes
So you can save in costs, and at the same time, together we are creating a fresh world.
The water filter is manufactured according to Regulation 2023/2006/EC on Good Manufacturing Practices. NSF® certified to NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 52.

Impact meter
This is a tool that allows you to measure the positive impact of tapping. You can track in real time how much water is tapped and drunk per day. And most importantly, how much your waste is saved. So you can include in your sustainability report the number of bottles of Co2 kg saved. In addition, you get insight into the vitality of your company. You can see:
1. The how many gallons tapped
2. How much is drunk on average per day
3. How often the tap is used.
And importantly, the cost savings you make monthly/yearly.
When you purchase an impact meter, you get the display software. In it you can see how much you drink and how many plastic bottles you save per day.
Placement conditions Zereau Drinks tapping point
In order to install a Zereau Drinks | KRNWTR+ tap point, a number of conditions must be met. You will find these conditions for each model of water tap point described below. The situation must be reasonably ready for installation. If the conditions listed below are not met, the installation may not be able to be completed and charges will apply for the next visit. Water tap installation takes +/- 2 hours. Syrup bar installation takes 3-4 hours.
We advise you to have your technical service or plumber check/adjust the conditions below at your location. If you have any questions regarding the placement conditions, please call 020 - 808 8400 or email info@zereaudrinks.com.
- An available and working cold water supply (washing machine tap 3/4") within 1 meter of the installation point and equipped with EA backflow protection. The water pressure should be minimum 1 bar and maximum 3.5 bar (so preferably no Y-splitters/splitter on the tap). If there is a splitter on the faucet, then a maximum of 1.
- An available and working 230V power outlet, grounded, within 1 meter of the placement point.
- If the tap is not placed on the first floor, this must be indicated in advance.
- There should be enough space to place the tapping point both on and under the worktop. This means that there must also be enough space under the worktop where the tapping point is placed for the cooler / filter and possibly carbon dioxide, assuming a (kitchen) cabinet. The water cooler should have enough room for ventilation, therefore keep at least 10cm free all around. In addition, the water cooler should not be placed in an enclosed space (without ventilation). Also consider sufficient space for the carbon dioxide cylinder and water filter. Specification sheets with dimensions are available on request for each type of water cooler.
- For worktops made of unusual materials or hard stone, you should indicate this in advance. In consultation, you must then provide the drill holes yourself.
- Permission to drill into the worktop if necessary, as the tap point must be connected to connections under the worktop (such as supply, drain, electrical, filter and/or carbonation cylinder). The tap point may be placed up to 3 meters away from the water cooler.
- The models come standard with a drip tray, which must be emptied manually. If the option of drainage is desired, this must be made clear with your order and a siphon must be available within 1 uninterrupted meter of installation point. The siphon must be placed at least 20 cm lower than the drip tray.
- When installing a tap point for sparkling water, a filled carbon dioxide cylinder should be present and available. This can be ordered through our website or your catering wholesaler.
- During installation, someone should be present to whom explanations about the installation can be given. This person should inform the users of the water tap of the proper forms of use.
- After installation we advise you not to store any other equipment or valuables near the cooler due to possible water damage. If you do, it is at your own risk.

Zereau Drinks tapping point outage
STEP 1A. CHECK THE REGULATOR ON THE FAUCET
Depending on the type of faucet, you will find a lever that allows you to adjust the water flow.
The black lever should be down.
STEP 1B. CHECK THE REGULATOR ON THE FAUCET
Depending on the type of faucet, you will find a socket, which you unscrew, then you can adjust the water flow, by turning the ring.
STEP 2. CHECK THE FILTER
On the filter you will find a black filter head with lever. This sits between the water tap and the cooler, see below.
The black lever should be down.
STEP 3. CHECK THE WATER STOPPER
If the filter is open, check the water plug. You can find this near the water faucet.
Follow the steps below:
1. Turn off the cooler (unplug the power cord).
2. Turn off the water tap. This is also where you will find the water stop.
3. Loosen the water stopper from the faucet, unscrew the water hose. (Keep a bucket handy against wet feet).
4. On the side where the hose was, you will see a red pin in the water plug. Push it in (inward).
5. Turn the water stopper on the faucet, screw the hose back on securely.
6. Turn on the water tap.
7. Turn on the cooler (plug it in).
7. Drain well (3 - 5 liters).
STEP 1. CHECK THE COOLER
If you open the tap, you will hear the cooler kick on (slight humming). If not, see if the cooler is getting power.
1. Make sure the plug is plugged in.
2. Check that there is power at the outlet.
STEP 2. CHECK THE CARBON DIOXIDE
Check the carbonation bottle, you can usually find it by the cooler.
1. Is the carbon dioxide bottle open? Turn the round knob on top of the carbon dioxide bottle all the way to the left (open).
2. Is the regulator open? Turn the black/red lever downwards (with the hose).
3. Is there still carbon dioxide in the bottle? The carbon dioxide gauge should be between 0-50 bar, the pressure gauge at 4. If both gauges are at 0, the carbon dioxide bottle is empty. See below how to change a carbon dioxide bottle.
Is the carbonation bottle not empty, but still no water comes out? Then proceed to step 3.
STEP 3. RESET THE COOLER
If the carbonation bottle is full, there may be air in the pipes. Reset the cooler.
1. Turn the cooler off (unplug it)
2. Open the tap to bleed the pipes.
3. Turn on the cooler (plug in the power cord)
4. Drain well (3 - 5 liters).
STEP 1. CHECK THE COOLER
If you open the tap, you will hear the cooler kick on (slight humming). If not, see if the cooler is getting power:
1. Make sure the plug is plugged in.
2. Check that there is power at the outlet.
STEP 2. CHECK THE TEMPERATURE
Is the cooler getting power but not getting cold? If so, check the temperature setting.
1. There is a dial on the cooler, it should be between 5/6. The cooler needs some time to get cold. Therefore, wait a few minutes and then tap well first (3 - 5 liters).

Why Zereau Drinks
You no longer have procurement costs. Just a fixed price (per month) for unlimited filtered and cooled water. So you no longer have to deal with variable prices and deposits. You save on handling, employee costs and storage. All in all, it's more cheaper!
The taps use a water filter to provide you with clean water. In addition, the taste will be purer and extend the life of the water cooler. This is because of the limescale regulating function.
