‍The17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Who is not familiar with them by now? Created in 2015 to, before 2030, make the world a better place. In short, a lot is asked of our social players like companies, organizations and ministries. And it is needed.
‍Butwhat exactly do these goals entail? And how can we together make a big impact in simple ways? Sometimes the step toward sustainability is closer than you think. For example, with Zereau Drinks products, you are already contributing to 7 of the 17 SDGs.

These are the SDGs you contribute to when you drink sustainably with Zereau Drinks products:

Goal 3: Good health and well-being

Our stylish water taps encourage people to drink more local water. Research shows that people drink more water once an attractive tap point is available. So we make it easy to fill your bottle with delicious, filtered and chilled water - with bubbles if you like!

Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation

Our durable water coolers are equipped with an advanced filtration system that ensures clean and safe drinking water. The filters contain powdered activated carbon, which removes undesirable odors and tastes, such as chlorine, from the water. In addition, harmful substances such as asbestos fibers, drug residues, cysts and microorganisms are filtered down to 0.2 microns. Heavy metals such as lead, copper and cadmium are also removed from your drinking water down to 0.2 microns. This makes your glass of water even healthier!

Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities

With our sustainable products, such as water taps, we help make cities greener and cleaner. By promoting locally tapped water and soft drinks, we reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles and the need to transport packaged beverages. This directly lowers CO2 emissions and reduces plastic waste. Thus, together we are building sustainable cities with less waste and more concern for the environment.

Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production.

We encourage the use of sustainable, refillable water bottles because disposable plastic bottles are simply out of date. With a water tap, you tap your water and soft drinks locally, which not only reduces plastic consumption, but also reduces the carbon footprint due to packaging and transportation. This aligns perfectly with our commitment to responsible consumption and production. By consciously choosing refillable bottles and locally tapped water, together we contribute to less waste, less pollution and a circular economy in which sustainability is central. That's what we call h(honest) drinking water!

Goal 13: Climate action

Did you know that bottled water travels an average of 577 km before it reaches the Dutch consumer? Not to mention the production process. We don't need to explain more than this, do we?

Goal 14: Living underwater

Every minute, a truckload of plastic ends up in our oceans. Much of this consists of plastic water bottles. Together we can make a difference by reducing the use of plastic (water) bottles. So tap your water or soda locally into a refillable water bottle.

Goal 15: Living on the land

It is essential to protect our ecosystem. Unfortunately, many plastic bottles still end up in nature, causing harmful microplastics to enter animals, plants and eventually our bodies. This has serious consequences for biodiversity and human and animal health. By drinking sustainable and local water, you save on plastic packaging and reduce pollution from transportation. Thus, you contribute directly to the preservation of our nature and biodiversity.
